Our services are available for the entire family – young and old. Invest in preventive dentistry today and avoid the frustration of a costly restorative procedure.

Why Is Preventive Dentistry Important?

The goal of preventive care is to protect your smile and prevent damage and decay. Our services are effective in preventing cavities, gum disease, and unforeseen damage from accidents and injuries.

When you are suffering from dental issues such as tooth decay, gum disease, or grinding, it is important to pinpoint and diagnose the problem early. The sooner we begin treatment, the better chance we have of getting things under control and preventing a more serious issue from developing.

What Does Your Cleaning and Exam Include?

At Oral Implants & Reconstructive Dentistry, we believe professional cleanings and exams lay the foundation for excellent preventive care. During your cleaning, one of our skilled hygienists will carefully clean your teeth and mouth. While they check for signs of cavities and infection, they will remove the plaque and tartar from the surface of your teeth. This will reduce your risk of developing a dental issue such as gum disease.

After the cleaning, you will meet with Dr. Heller or Dr. DiDonato for your exam. This is the perfect time to discuss any fears or concerns you may have about your oral health. Afterward, they will examine your teeth, gums, tongue, lips, face, and neck for signs of swelling, discoloration, or discomfort. They may also recommend digital X-rays to examine the teeth and jaw bone. After your exam, your dentist will discuss their findings with you and recommend a treatment – if necessary.
