At Oral Implants & Reconstructive Dentistry, we recommend visiting us at least once every six months. Frequent visits will help us keep your teeth clean and check for signs of dental issues. In most cases, diagnosing an oral health problem and beginning treatment is the best way to preserve your natural teeth and gums. By coming in every six months, we can look for signs of tooth decay, gum infection, oral cancer, and other potential issues and recommend treatment before your condition worsens.
During your visit, we will check your mouth, teeth, gums, throat, jaw, and facial muscles for signs of any potential health problems. We will look for discoloration, unusual bumps, and bleeding along your gum line and in your throat. This will help us determine if you may be at risk of developing gum disease or oral cancer.
By examining your jaw and facial muscles, we can determine if you are experiencing symptoms of bruxism or misalignment. If needed, we may also recommend taking digital X-rays of your teeth to see if any cavities or other underlying problems have developed. By taking a comprehensive view of your oral health, we can help you maintain a healthy smile for years to come.
There are several things you can do to keep your teeth bright and healthy between visits to the dentist. First, we recommend brushing and flossing your teeth at least twice a day with a soft-bristled toothbrush. Using mouthwash can also help kill bacteria in your mouth and prevent your gums from becoming infected. When choosing toothpaste and mouthwash, be sure to find products that include fluoride. This mineral will strengthen your enamel and help block cavities from forming.
To prevent your teeth from breaking or chipping, avoid fully closing your teeth together when you eat and do not chew on any hard objects like ice. If you want to keep your teeth bright and shiny, avoid consuming too many darkly colored foods and drinks, and do not chew or smoke tobacco.
Yes! Our dentists are some of the top implant specialists in the nation. Since our practice first opened its doors, we have placed more than 35,000 dental implants. We can perform traditional implant surgeries, bone grafts, sinus elevations, and mini implant surgeries. We use implants to replace missing teeth, restore smiles, and perform reconstructive procedures.
At Oral Implants & Reconstructive Dentistry, we can beautifully straighten crooked teeth with the use of Invisalign® and Six Month Smiles. Invisalign® clear aligners work by gently adjusting the alignment of your smile over three to twelve months. These aligners are discreet, comfortable, and do not require you to make any change to your diet.
Six Month Smiles are an alternative to traditional braces. By focusing on the front teeth, we can rejuvenate your smile in only six months. With the use of clear wires and mouth-colored brackets, we can discreetly realign your teeth.
Our team can perform simple and surgical tooth extractions, including wisdom teeth removal. By extracting wisdom teeth before they have time to fully develop and erupt above the gum line, we can protect your surrounding teeth from becoming overcrowded and misaligned. We usually recommend this treatment for patients in their late teens and early twenties. We would be happy to schedule a consultation to discuss the importance of wisdom teeth removal and the details of this procedure.
If you are afraid of going to the dentist or experience high levels of dental anxiety, ask us about dental sedation. We are happy to offer a variety of options to keep you comfortable and relaxed during your visit. These treatments range from local anesthetics to nitrous oxide to IV sedation. Whether you want to be fully awake, somewhat drowsy, or completely unconscious during your procedure, we are here for you. We are committed to providing great dental care in a comfortable, stress-free environment.
At Oral Implants & Reconstructive Dentistry we are proud to accept most major dental insurances. We would be happy to review your policy before your appointment to ensure we can accept your coverage. Because we are a fee-for-service office, we ask that you pay for your treatment at the time of your appointment. Afterward, we will submit your information to your insurance provider, and they will reimburse you for the amount covered.
If you do not have dental insurance, we also offer a variety of other financing options, including CareCredit. We are unfortunately unable to accept Medicare or Medicaid insurances at this time.
