We Have the Wand Just For You!

Doctors have long known that the main cause of discomfort or pain during an injection is the flow of the anesthetic into your tissues. The STA® System is a computer controlled anesthesia system that allows the doctor precise control over the location and amount of anesthesia that is administered. Using the Wand® hand piece allows for complete accuracy that was previously unattainable. The Wand® is a pre-programed anesthetic delivery device that controls the flow of anesthetic into your tissues. By beginning the injection at an extremely slow rate and then gradually increasing the flow, pain is managed and patients experience little to no discomfort! The Wand® ensures that each patient receives the optimal dose of anesthetic at the optimal flow rate so that each injection is comfortable every time. Patients are amazed how comfortable obtaining dental anesthesia is now using The Wand®!

Do I Need a Dental Crown?

Tooth decay is not the only reason you might need a crown. Other reasons may include:
  • To keep teeth from fracturing or breaking. When a tooth is cracked, a dental crown can be used to strengthen it and keep it from breaking completely.
  • To restore teeth affected by tooth decay. When tooth decay is extensive, and damages a great deal of tooth structure, a filling is often not enough to provide needed support. A dental crown can be placed to hold the tooth together and restore it to health.
  • Your teeth are discolored or not shaped correctly. Crowns can be shaded and shaped to any specifications, which offers an excellent means of creating a bright, uniform smile.
  • You have severely worn teeth. Dental crowns can be used to rebuild your teeth and restore a functional bite.
  • You have had a root canal. Root canals weaken a tooth (but are at times necessary to save it). A dental crown is typically needed to restore and maintain your tooth’s strength and function after this procedure.
